Christmas Top Ups are open from Monday 3rd November – Friday 12th December.  

❓ We know members have questions about their applications. Please remember Christmas Top Ups are our busiest time and we’re a small team.

📩 Frequent calls or emails slow down loan processing. To help, we’ve created an FAQ with answers to the most common questions.

🚫 Please don’t contact us for loan updates. We cannot give individual updates or timescales during busy periods.

🙏 Thank you for your patience while we work through applications as quickly as possible.

You can apply twice during this period if you’ve repaid at least £100 since your last Top Up.

⏱️ Timescales

  • Usual loans: 5 working days.
  • Christmas Top Ups: No set timescale due to high demand. Please allow longer.

🎁 Eligibility

  • Must have a Homemaker Loan.
  • Must have repaid at least £100 since your last Top Up.

💵 How much can I apply for?

  • 1 child: £625
  • 2 children: £1050
  • 3 children: £1475
  • 4 children: £1900
  • 5 children: £2325
  • 6 children: £2500

📱 How to Apply

  • Apply via the KMCU App (iOS & Android).
  • Select Already a Member Sign Up (not Log In).
  • You’ll need your member number & up-to-date mobile number.

🔍 Checking Application Status

  • Track progress in the KMCU App (Requests icon).
  • Please allow 24 hours for updates.
  • We cannot provide phone/email updates during busy periods.

💳 Receiving Funds

  • Signed before 3:30pm: funds same day (by 5:30pm).
  • Signed after 3:30pm: funds next working day.

ℹ️ Other Notes

  • Offers may be lower if affordability checks suggest so.
  • No confirmation email if applying via the app—check status in the app.
  • Please avoid duplicate emails/phone calls as this delays processing.

📅 2nd Top Up

  • You can apply twice during this period if you’ve repaid at least £100 since your last Top Up.
